Cropmarks of a probable farmstead of likely Iron Age or Roman date, to the west of Skendleby Psalter. The cropmarks mark the ditched remains of a large main enclosure measuring 50m wide, and containing two huts circles measuring 10m and 8 m in diameter. To the west of this is a north to south aligned trackway, roughly 100m long, with two rectangular enclosure to the west of that. The northernmost of these enclsoure measures 35m by 20m, whilst the southernmost enclsoure measures 30m by 12m. The probable farmstead lies adjacent to the course of a Roman road, towards the eastern edge of a ridge overlooking the head of the valley, facing north-east, in a siting typical of Romano-British settlements.
