Full Description
Early Iron Age salt working site found in 1953 after a flood exposed burnt surfaces and a large amount of briquetage and pottery including some Belgic ware.
A hearth was exposed at TF 5752 6777.
A woody peat layer containing a few fragments of briquetage was exposed at TF 5750 5780, although no structure was observed. {1}{2}{3}
