Waithe mill (disused) to the south of Holton le Clay. {1} A watermill of 1813 built of red brick with a pantile roof. The ties are dated 1813 in the left hand gable and have the initials TW in the right hand gable. At the time of listing in 1986 there was some surviving gear, a water wheel and three grinding stones. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest.{2} Richard Pottage is recorded as a corn miller in Holton le Clay in 1856 and may be the occupier of the mill at that time. {3} An inspection of the building in 2007 noted that there was a second water channel under the building to the south of the main race. This second channel was used as an overflow and both channels discharged into a pond about 12m to the front, east of the main building. To the north is a single story range of outbuildings attached to the gable of the main building. {4}
