Full Description

The south wall of the Church House and barn has a surviving fragment of a building dating to the early 17th century. In the late 17th century it was incorporated into a one and a half storey dwelling of coursed limestone rubble construction with quoining. It has three bays in the main range, and a single bay wing was added to the south. The barn was built onto the west gable of the house. In the 18th century a bakehouse was built onto the south gable of the wing. A bedroom was added over the bakehouse in the late 19th century. {1} House and barn built of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Collyweston slate roof having raised stone coped gables, single ashlar ridge stack with moulded cornice, single red brick wall and gable stacks. Pantile roof to barn. L-plan, the barn attached to rear wing. Single storey with attics, 3 bay front, the right hand 2 bays are separately gabled. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with L-plan range plus detached buildings to the third side of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within or in association with a village. {3}
