The current church was built in the 12th century and was substantially rebuilt by Butterfield in 1861. The church is built mainly from ashlar with lead and Westmoreland slate roofs. Constructed mainly in the Early English and Perpendicular styles. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {7}
