Full Description
Remains of part of a possible Neolithic long barrow, visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken of this area to the south of Langton Grange. Defined by a single ditch, the site appears as an elongated, oblong enclosure aligned on a north-east to south-west axis. It is thought to be incomplete, truncated lengthways by a modern field boundary, with only the eastern side being visible. The visible remains of the enclosure measure 22.8m in length and 7m wide at the widest visible point. It lies at the western edge of a field in which three further (confirmed) long barrows are located. {1}{2}{3}
