Full Description

Former school. L-shape two/one and a half storey red brick building in English Garden Wall Bond, under a pitched gabled tile roof. One short lateral stack and one small gable stack. The building has been enlarged, with the roof height of the eastern range raised, and a small single storey extension to the south. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the National School was built in 1862 by the late rector, and was attended at the time by 50 pupils. {2} The building can be seen in L-shape plan form on the 1905 OS map. {3}
