Full Description

Former school and possible schoolmaster's house. One and a half/two storey building of stone, under a pitched gabled slate roof. C-shape plan with an open central courtyard facing east. Possible modern extension and alteration. The school was closed in the late 1970s or early 1980s and was sold as a residential property. {1}{2}{3} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the parish had an 'ancient school… rebuilt in 1835' though it is unclear how much of the 1835 building survives, or whether it was on the same site as this building. {4}
