Full Description

Former school building in L-shape plan form, comprising a north-south aligned single storey range and an east-west aligned two storey range. Both of orange brick construction with buff brick window dressings, quoins, and banding, under pitched gabled tile roofs. The two storey range was extended to the east in the early 21st century, replacing another single storey range which itself appears to have been an extension or replacement of an earlier range. {1}{2} The school was built in 1872, and closed in 1933 due to low attendance. {3} White's 1856 Trade Directory mentions a small school in the parish, supported by the rector and attended by 20 pupils, though it is unknown if this school was on the same site. {4}
