Full Description

Former school. Two storey brick building in Common Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of concrete tiles. Gabled porch. Two tall lateral stacks. Large, partially infilled, segmental arch window on southeast gable. Large modern conservatory/sunroom on southwest elevation. Probable schoolmaster’s house adjacent. Three bay two storey red brick building, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Two gable stacks. {1}{2} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the parish was contemplating building a new school in the parish 'in accordance with the requirements of the "Elementary Education Act, 1870."' {3}
