Full Description

School building dating to the late 19th century. Two/one and a half storey red brick building in Common Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of pantile. One ridge stack on the two storey range. Originally an L-shape cross-wing plan form, it has undergone significant expansion and alteration in the 20th and 21st centuries. Though it appears on the 1889 and 1906 OS maps of the village, there is no mention of the school in White's 1872 Trade Directory entry for the parish, suggesting the school was constructed between 1872 and 1889. {1}{2}{3}{4}
