Barn, located on the north-east side of the Hollies farmstead, near Whaplode Drove. It was built in the mid-late 19th century, and has some later alterations. The barn was recorded as part of a programme of historic building recording in February 2017, prior to being converted into a residential dwelling. The eastern half of the barn is a single storey, 2 room building, and the western half is a 2 storey, 3 room building. The whole structure has a gabled, timber frame roof. The roof cover is unknown as it had been removed prior to recording, but was likely pantiles or slate, based on the angle of the pitch. The eastern portion is built in brick, laid in alternating 3 courses of stretchers and 1 course of headers in English Garden Wall bond. The northern elevation has 2 window openings that have been infilled with modern brick. The southern elevation is mostly open, with two short sections of brick wall supporting the roof structure. This portion of the barn has 2 whitewashed rooms with brick floor. The 2 storey western portion of the barn is built out of brick, laid in mixed courses of headers and stretchers in Flemish bond. The brick of the northern and eastern elevations has been removed/dismantled prior to recording. The southern elevation is open. This portion of the barn has 3 internal divisions, with whitewashed walls and a brick floor. {1}{2}
