Full Description

A possible cursus in Wildmore, on the north-east edge of a low terrace gravel fen island, overlooking West Fen. Seen as a cropmark on Google Maps aerial imagery. If it is a cursus, it would run for more than 1600m. {1}{2} There is certainly a double linear feature that can be traced over some distance. It could well be a prehistoric cursus monument, topographically there is no reason to believe the island was not suitable for such a construction. A walk over part of the site found a few pieces of early Neolithic worked flint. {3}
