Description

STAMFORD TL91634070 Barn Hill 22.5.1954 (West Side) No.2 GV II House. Early-nineteenth century. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roof. Quoins. Two storey. L-plan. Off-centre doorway has original six-panel door in flush ashlar surround. To left a small window and to right a large 15 by 10 pane glazing bar sash in similar surround, beyond to right a segment headed archway. Above a single large 15 by 10 pane glazing bar sash window and to left a six by six pane glazing bar sash window. Two windows, hung sashes with glazing bars. Rear wall blank. North-east facade of rear wing has single large 15 by 10 pane glazing bar sash window in segment headed flush ashlar surround to each floor. Nos 2 to 6 (consec), Barn Hill House, Wall & Gatepiers with Gazebo in garden of Barn Hill House form a group. Listing NGR: TF0278807220
