Description
LINCOLN SK9772SW UPPER LONG LEYS ROAD 1941-1/6/391 (North side) 15/08/73 No.1 Elm House GV II House. c1857. Brick with stone dressings and hipped slate roof, with 2 side wall and single roof stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Square plan. South front has a central round headed doorway with keystone and imposts, half-glazed door and fanlight. To left, a late C19 canted wooden bay window, with flat roof and margin light sashes. To right, a glazing bar sash, and beyond, a single storey addition with a smaller sash. Above, 3 plain sashes, the central one smaller. West side, to Mill Road, has 2 glazing bar sashes, and above, 2 plain sashes. INTERIOR not inspected. This building is part of the architectural scheme of the adjoining terrace Nos 2-42 (even) Mill Road (qv). Listing NGR: SK9715972154
