Description
LINCOLN SK9771SE SILVER STREET 1941-1/12/337 (North side) 15/08/73 No.42 II Former stationers' shop, now offices. Dated 1873, altered late C20. Brick with stone dressings and slate roof with 2 side wall stacks. Venetian Revival style. Quoins, bracketed string courses, wavy corbel table, billeted frieze, pierced balustrade, ringed wall shafts. 3 storeys, 2 bays. Full width glazed shopfront, late C20. Above, 2 moulded round headed recesses with dogtooth bands and shafts, each containing 2 roll moulded round headed windows with single shafts. Above again, 4 smaller round headed windows with moulded heads, dogtooth bands and shafts. The wall shafts have capitals inscribed with initials and the date, 1873. INTERIOR not inspected.
