Description
TF 00 NE UFFINGTON MAIN STREET (north side) 9/238 West Hall Farm- 30.10.68 house G.V. II Farmhouse. 1731, altered and extended late C18. Squared coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, Collyweston slate roof, stone coped gables, 3 ashlar gable stacks, 2 with moulded cornices. 2 storey with attics, 3 bay front with moulded wooden eaves cornice, having central 6 panelled door, traceried overlight, flanked by single tripartite glazing bar sashes. To first floor are 3 glazing bar sashes with bracketed cills. All openings have plain stone architraves and stepped keyblocks. In the roof are 2 hipped dormers with glazing bar sashes and slate hung cheeks. In the left hand gable is a quoin bearing the date 1731. To the right is an attached lower 2 storey late C18 2 bay service block, having half glazed door and tripartite glazing bar sash, both having ashlar lintels with keyblocks and 2 through eaves hipped glazing bar sash dormers.
